Limping

You should never limp at a 9 to 10 person table. Atleast if you are a begginer. There are a few hands that i am not sure how to play in early possition. Those hands are pocket 2s,3s,4s. I know that if you are 1 on 1 and they have aks yoou still have the advantage, but if you try to make the situation 1 on 1 by raising a lot you will give away what you have eventually and you could lose to a better pocket pair. I also dont want to fold it because it could give you the nuts if you trip. Exspessually when i have pocket 2s i find it hard to raise my normal 3x blind how do i play these hands?

Is there really one single answer or strategy? I don't think so. OK, we know early pos, but what about games... MTT, ring? Stack sizes, table image, reads...? Too many variables here to give one stock answer.

You didn't mention whether this was ring or tourney.

If tourney, in the very early stages drop those hands like hot rocks, as everyone else at the table will be playing hands with more potential.

Not so early stages you can start limping with these hands in early position if you perceive the table to be generally passive, you are set mining at this point and must give these hands up to resistance. If your table is not passive then don't even think about playing these if the average number of players per hand is above 3.

In the late stages with varying stack sizes, and dependent on your particular stack sizes, even in early position you can be aggressive with any pp's. But know that these are not hands you have to go to hell with!

You dump these as a failed steal attempt in a heartbeat if resistance shows up.

If very late in tourneys, and you are getting close to short stacked, and you can open these hands, then you shove these routinely.

i think it all depends on your play style, if your in later position, limp with those cards, early position, no matter the size, i would triple the blind, atleast with low blinds, and see who calls, flop comes overs, check it, and see what they do, flop comes equal cards, bet, put most callers on over cards, and read a raise, know the player, its a game of skill and how these hands are played depends on how much experience you have, and always be confident with these cards, they arn't slouches, you can win pots, they may not be big pots, majority of the time i play to see the fewest cards possible with lower pocket pair, i'll always take the blinds happily with my pocket 2's

thats a crazy question! are you mentally unstable? haha just kidding. i would try to raise with those if i was in a n early position so that i could take down the blinds. if i hit the flop so be it. If i dont well i fold.

those hands are always dangerous and sometimes put you in a tough situation. I would limp if its not too costly and then hope for trips. But if there is any action i would fold.

If it's not good enough to raise with, then why limp with it. I use the raise because I want to eliminate hands. It is alot easier to figure out 1 or 2 hands than it is to figure out 5 or more.

not sur about not playing pocket 234 in early position id atleast min raise or 3 times the min raise with it

Depends on the table to me..
And my chip stack,,how late it is in a tourney...e.t.c..
I will usually fold lo pp out of pos,,,
