This Teaches you Just enough to lose money, ha ha ha.
I would say this is more a break down for beginners. If a Person is looking to better their game and really learn, May I suggest Poker After Dark, and High Stakes Poker.
Watch, learn and study. find your favorite and study their style. or grab a few things from a couple. also watch video's on learning your position to the button and how to bet according to the pot size. I think everyone here would have to agree.
Peace and good luck to all who are really wanting to learn..

Excellent intro video! I like that the demonstration hand had the flopped set of nines lose to the full house of Aces over Queens that were made on the turn and river. Most (all other?) beginner videos tend to gloss over (skip entirely?) that little bit of hard reality.

Tbh when getting introduced to poker watching high stakes poker is not the best idea, learn the fundamentals first. I believe nananoko made a great series on micro stakes zoom play where he explained alot of the basics and his thought proces. Great series to watch and get started imo ^^

Good point. At first I was thinking the same thing, but I have learned from watching those high-stakes games on TV that ABC poker will only take you so far. I used to wonder why they seemed to vary so much from what I had learned. Now I know.

Definitely not what you want to do as a beginner, but it did give me a perspective that I never got from the books. That differing perspective is helping me now as I progress in my poker journey.

well if you ask me, you can learn poker for 4 years and still wont be able to play it, and you can learn by this video and be able to know how to play it, it depends of the knowledge of the other 8 or 5 players that they are playing with you on one table, that means if they know how to play, you are pretty much the bad player there, but if they dont know how to play, you are on the same level as they are, btw im talking about new ppl to the game

Beginners will help understand the power of the hands. But here there is nothing about bluff, strategy, psychology, mood and much more. To play poker well it is not enough to know the seniority of hands.

But for those who do not even know this video is useful.

i knew everything mention in the video but i don't consider myself knowing texas holdem; it takes much more work and dedication to master this game.
it's more like: "a minute to learn, a lifetime to master"
