the following question might give away my not so deep understanding of the game, but, hey, this is the learning poker sub-forum.
i usually play 2€ full ring with TAG/NIT style but i just had a session where i literally had good to amazing cards very often, no kidding, in a row i had: AJo A7s 44 99 AKo and playing my standard 22/17 range i had stats of 38/33 and seemed a random maniac playing ATC or quite, so after i made it to 4.10€ i told myself to slow down and play tighter: i cut down the iso raising vs a couple of limpers i had to my right and i didn't cold call stuff like KJo from BTN or completing the SB w T9o on a limped pot, which i normally do. thing is i still had good starting cards but the guy to my immediate left (38/12/44) picked on my being loose and started cold calling me all the time and raising my cbets on the flop or 3betting me light. i ended up with 2.90€ and quit after a kinda bad shove vs a shorty.
ok, i'm not complaying about having good cards, far from it, but should have i slowed down even more, playing 10/9 range for a while? how could i play back at the LAGish with position on me without 4betting light (i'm no annette obrestad..), or maybe after i reached 4.10€ i should have quit and be happier than i am now?
(if it helps to understand, the table had 2-3 fish, me and the other guy being LAGish and the rest were weak NITs)
