When we talk about poker strategies, we always exalt raises, 3 bet, all in and blefer, but we hardly remember one that many do may be the most important.
Fold is the strategy that allowed us to give up the hand when we suspect that we are losing, maybe because we do not want to believe in defeat but in victory all the time, and we forget that winning is not to lose.
The other day I was playing and I got on an A3 and the flop came 363, there were 4 other players on the table, so I called with 1 bet so I did not feel the action on my opponent's table and everyone called, on the turn or 6 and got 3636 and then gave a 3 bet, 4 players folded and only 1 remained and the river came an A, so I made a fullhouse with 333AA, that good had a good move, but the only player left over from me , was the first one to enter the pot and in that case he went all in and my turn came, I stopped and I analyzed the move, I was around 20BB and this was around 19BB, in case I lose I would be out of the tournament so I stopped and analyzed the whole move: I would win with a 333AA fulhouse against a 33366, but I would lose for a 66633 beyond the blocks that could have been 3333 or 6666, so under those conditions I folded.
As I presented above, the suspension was difficult, but fold should be seen as a strategy of play, because through it it is possible not to lose large amounts of chips and still prevail in the tournament.
