don't know how to be aggresive

how can i be more aggressive at the tables?
don't get me wrong i do pretty good at the tables.
i win more then i lose but i let myself get pushed out
of hands that i would have won!
how do i train myself to be agressive?
please help.

You're not going to get much useful response from a general question like this without some specific hands to show as examples. One of the things that this forum will help you with is to analyze exactly what you're asking. But, to do that you need to post some specific hands with examples of where you think you should be more aggressive (use the Hand Analysis section of either the cash game or the tournament section).

I struggle with using the "right" amount of aggression, but it is really very situational. Give us specifics about the situation and you'll get specific responses back from some very talented people (don't get me wrong--I don't consider myself one of those talents...yet).

& keep in mind you are also getting pushed out of hands that you would have lost.

I "learned" from watching real poker on tv( not always great) but its not really something you can train. I know this didnt answer your question well but its the truth.

The best (and really the only answer) we can give is to be more specific. Post a few of your hands that you think you could/should have played more or less aggressively. Giving us some more information will help us give you the answers you are looking for. Like debpes said, one of the first big things you'll learn here is to be specific in the questions you ask. So much about poker is specific to the situation and it's essentially impossible to give you a good answer without those details

Drop down a level or two, and just go for it. Get out of character and raise and push and shove, just for the experience. You might learn something....

Its all about the situaton. I regret when I am not more aggressive early (flop & turn) . When I am aggressive late I am usually wrong. It's the hands I let people suck out on me that I need to address, before they see their card. It seems to come down to a "take it down now" attitude/philosophy versus trying to squeeze every dime out of every good flop.

Play all the dammnn biggest freerolls you can join!. Like the one at ft with 10,000 players or try your hand at pokerstars with 40,000 daily satty to the 90k. Push shove w ene 2 crds grow sum after playing those games comeback nxt year and post the same ?. Keep grinding ya just might make it. bigbigbucs or grind it out at evry da mmn fr u can join. Just my opiinion. oh and btw aggressiveness can equal alot og losses.n so play u beast game passive or agressive or both. not just one style.
and when you get serrious sit out a few hands fold the big slick or top pair and watch how it unfolds. not always the best cards win dude. gl. and goodnight 4 today p.s and never look back at the hands you fold they are dead!., could have should have would have will cost you evry buc you might ever win in the future. I learned how to be more aggressive by ignoring the call button. it was either raise or fold. then I learned to be ultra-aggressive by either folding or pot size raise. Naturally I because really selective on what hands I was playing to begin with.

Stray out of your character. Be unpredictable.

As others have said, just drop down a level or 2 where the money is essentially insignificant to your bankroll and go for it. One other thing you might try is (gasp) become a short-stacker (just for a few sessions). When you're playing as a short-stacker there is no time to fool around with calling, you're either raising or folding, never calling. Also, since you're playing as a short stack you really have little risk on any one hand when you decide to be aggressive. I'd just do this for a short while to get the feeling of aggression, then go back to buying in full as you can generally be more profitable as a full-stacker if you have any kind of game at all.
