There is no quick win in poker. Reading one book wont turn you into a winner. If you want a base understanding of tournament play however read Harrington on Holdem.

That's right. Books are only theory, but you must have considerable experience to successfully apply this strategy in the game.

Excelling at No-Limit Hold’em by Jonathan Little. Had a down beat book to start with.

Any thoughts regarding Jonathan Little's books? I am thinking of his 3 volume "Secrets" and his "Mastering small stakes"

All training material is just theory. You still have to adapt it to real play and the level of players you are facing

I really enjoyed reading Doyle Brunsons super system 2. Its probably out dated now but it might help provide some fundamentals.
