This is a discussion on Bankroll within the online poker forums, in the Learning Poker section; I know people are gonna say keep everything in your bankroll. But I wanna know how do top players take money out of thier bankroll
I know people are gonna say keep everything in your bankroll. But I wanna know how do top players take money out of thier bankroll to buy things. I'm a college kid so I can keep most of mine in my bankroll and keep adding to play higher stakes but how do most people do it say you have a big winning 2 or 3 months or quarter and bankroll is up and you and stay playing the same stakes what percentage would you take out to live if you wanted to? Just a hypothetical question.

Online Poker at: Unibet
Game: no limit
Hypothetically, you should not be taking out of your bankroll to pay bills or live. Ideally, you want to keep building your bankroll until it's big enough for you to play in the big events ( ie:- WSOP or similar ). Once you have a big enough bankroll to do this, then maybe you can think about taking a little out to live. The bigger your bankroll, the bigger the games you can play & the more money you stand to make if you do finish in the money. But hey, its your money so whatever you think is O'K' to take out is fine. Just remember that whatever you take out is less for you to buy-in with & that bankroll was hard earned.
Hope this helped a little,
Best of luck & see you @ the final table, yeah ?

Not really asking a question pertained to me because all my money goes into my bankroll. Jw what pros do. I don't mean like phil ivey and people like that. I mean like pros who do not get endorsements and things like that
