Ok I won the freeroll on Fullflush a week ago and won $20. Then I took 2nd place in a 1.10 $200 GTD for like 32?. Now I have dabbled in cash here and there 3NL. Im not sure if im ready for cash i am more of a tourney player. Also I would like to state I have been playing MTTs on there with small fields and soft players with anything from a buy-in of 1.65 or less. Now I have been cashing a lot and a lot of final tables. Still sitting at $50. I guess what I am asking is what should I play? The BRM i adhere to i am failing at sticking to cause such a short BR. Should I just keep playing these 1.65ish tourneys or less and keep trying to bink them? SnGs? or cash? Like I said I am a better tournament player for sure. I think I need some help or some training in the cash game. Maybe I will try to find something i can use to dl and upload HH on here.

People create arbitrary bankroll management standards all of the time, but the truth is that you have to do what is right for you. This depends heavily on what you plan to do as far as poker is concerned and where you're at in life/how much risk you can handle. However, there are a ton of good videos, including this one: Bankroll Management Video by Gripsed

If tournamnts suits you best then play that.

I like tournaments as well.

Everytime I play cash I end up loosing.

I have heard that you must maximum use 5 % of bankroll for a single event, if you want to win in the long run.

But feel comfortable playing then you use correct buy-in.

If you only allow yourself 20 buy-ins for MTT play; busto in no time. 1 rebuy/addon tourney can eat up 6 of those.

Ive heard shouldnt use more than 5% of bankroll bt that might take into account rebuys/addons

Idealy only use 2% or at least 50 buyins for MTTS for cash you can probably get away with 20-30 depending on your edge/skill level

One single event includes rebuy and addon in the single event.

So if you play mtt wit rb/ao you must only use 1% of bankroll for buy in.

I dont make rebuy if I am busted out once I dont wonna use more for that mtt using addon is ok.

Maybe 2% is better for bankroll management.

stairway to bankroll my friend. Stair way to bankroll. keep doing what your doing if its working. ITs like saying why stop what your doing when you got a good thing going. Until you get in a bad situation, you got nothing to worry for now. just let the money take care of itself.

Letting the money take care of itself is a terrible idea. You take care of the money so that you can make sure it's safe, unless you don't care about losing your BR. What terrible advice, to let the money take care of itself. Money is no better at taking care of itself than a toddler is.

If you want to play cash then you should only play the lowest stakes right now. I would suggest 2nl. But you can also choose and play sit n go's as you are doing well in tournaments you can continue playing the same. But only play lowest of stakes of cash games as anything higher might be bad for bankroll.

if you start playing cash be prepared to alter your style and learn new stuff , you sound good at tourneys ,sounds to me like you should concentrate on them maybe sngs too ,maybe add cash games later down the line , gripseds vid on BRM is great , i have to say that good BRM has enabled me to play as much poker as i want ,to enter tourneys whenever (at up to 5-10 bucks) sngs ,cash etc i initially mad a 10 pound deposit on stars back in 07 and i havent deposited since , im not even a good player , as an average player with an average winrate for my level i play as much as i want for as long as i want , BRM is the key and i could never get across in one post how important it is to strictly adhere to it , good luck mate
