Hello poker players, I am very new to this game and i was just watching the wsop big one for one drop. there were situation for example when colman went all in on negreanu , and phil ivey on vogelsang. both lost the hand but were still sitting down playing after? i thought all in meant to put everything in the pot?

again i just started learning, thankful if someone can explain why. :)

They most likely had more chips than the person who won the hand.

eg: 100K all in vs a 60K all in, the player with 100K will have 40K left to play with even after losing, hope that clears that up for you :)

ah! didnt think of that. just to make sure, lets say A has $10 stack while B has $5, if A claims all in it'll only be $5 instead of $10 he is putting out?

Thanks for replying!

It would still be classed as a $10 raise but essentially yes.. you're on the right lines :)
