I see many posts from people wondering why they can't win and those trying to make quick money.

Here is how I'm making some progress:

You won't start winning consistently till you learn bankroll management, player styles, position, board texture, hand reading, and how to select tables according to how your opponents play.

You need to do a lot of research before you start spending your money.

It took me ages to get past 1/2 cent tables.Since I studied and grasped the above my bankroll is starting to lift and I now play 5/10 cent tables.

You will find it hard to make progress on MTTs, I play six handed cash against the worst players I can find.

Should I spot aggressive players on my left I change tables.

Variance is the dog that will bite you hardest.

Don't build pots with second best hands, but when you hit the nuts or near nuts go hard:jd4:

Those 1/2 cents tables are no fun at all. :)

I'm struggling to build my BR away from that limit.

Yep, I went nowhere at that limit.Started playing 5/10 as my bankroll grew and make on average $2.57 per half- hour session but i play 3 times per day and if I can maintain that for 365 days the bankroll will grow and I can try higher limits.
Crawled gradually to $350, it is a slow grind but the better days are getting closer, and the winning sessions now out number those I lose at.
The other good thing is that I'm limiting my losses during the bad sessions.

There are some good free training sites if you search that will improve your game.
