I played in one of PokerStar's 210fpp sit n goes to the Sunday 200k tournament which I use as a form of rakeback. In this video I discuss strategy on how to approach this game, why this is better than using your FPPs for the bonus $, and even random stuff like South Park.

30 Minute quicktime file, about 56megs. Have fun and would love to hear you comments.

Played 3 hands and mission accomplished, very nice indeed. Entertaining and educational at the same time what a perfect combination. I must admit when you said in the opening I disagreed with the stratergy. I was thinking you'd try and see as many cheap flops as possible in the early stages, maybe first 3 rounds and try and hit then shove. But this one worked, and worked to perfection.

BTW your prediction skills are scary. Who'd think that an underdog like K9 vs AKs could win

Nice effort and great vid :)

Would this be the same strategy I gave you on how to play these not long ago?

I had forgotten I'd downloaded this, until someone bumped the thread today.

Nice job, good basic approach for these, I think.

Watched the video yesterday, have played 5 of these, winning (top6) in 3 and bubbled the other two....got short stacked and shoved AA....lost to A6...(trip 6's) in the one and can't remember the other. Thanks icemonkey for the video and Inscore for the strategy.

I watched the video, and took notes.
Icemonkey9 claims he's not a coke addict. (Denial is the the first sign.)

Admits he stole strategy from Inscore77.

All Canadians are drunks.

At 12:55 he will... <shhhh!>

I'm hungry for some Fiddle Faddle all of a sudden.

Icemonkey uses "Murphy's Law" psychic powers.

Players are tards.

Yea for me.

It's a lot like how I play double-or-nothing tournaments, only a bit looser. The big difference I see with double-or-nothings is that a normal-stacked, all-in coin flip situation is -EV.
That is, you have to win 55% of double-or-nothings to stay in the green, so if you put your entire (normal sized) stack on-the-line in A/K vs 8/8 situations you will lose money in the long run.
Of course, you need to make moves when you're stack dwindles. Because of fold equity, there's a big difference between shoving with A/Q and calling a shove with A/Q.

Nice video. I think I might try those games out sometime.

I actually really liked the way you played this. It seemed like a very easy way to ITM...the math works out well, looking for a 1/3 cash since 6/20 are ITM. Well played imo.

Ok, so extrapolating some here's how I sum up the strategy.

It's pretty much pre-flop play, relying on villains making poor calls with Ace/junk and smaller pairs that you're usually flipping against or have dominated. You're essentially getting your money in good and letting the cards fall where they may, because one early double-up is often enough to get you on the threshold of cashing.

1) Shove pre-flop with any of Hellmuth's top nine hands in late position in an unchallenged pot, or a pot with one limper (or two limpers if they are VPIP sluts). (Hellmuth's top ten are A/Q+ and pairs 7/7+ BTW, so basically A/Q+ and 8/8+) With more limpers, tighten up some, shoving with A/Q+ and T/T+.
2) Shove A/J+ or T/T+ in a pot with a loose raiser in late position, A/Q+ in earlier position or against a tighter player.
3) Fold the rest unless in a good stealing position.

What about stealing in late position? Just a standard raise with low PP's or Ace/weak?
