It's early in the tournament so I cant really say what the players were like. This hand really pee'd me off because I've been getting crap hands in the last 2 games and I finally hit something good, but did I play this right? Did this guy have an obvious straight? I saw a possible straight on the board but I had tunnel vision and didn't think if he had one. Now I learnt my lesson to not slowplay trips :( the more I look at what I did the more I think how stupid my play was.

I think you should just c-bet on the flop. There's a bunch of draws and worse made hands that he can have that will call you.

I c-bet the flop on a draw-heavy board like this. Don't want to give his draws a free card now, do we? Or a free card and a very cheap card in this case.
Just bet.

A raggidy rainbow flop without straight draws would be better to check back, imo.

C-bet on this flop is compulsory. This is not good board for slowplay.

You play very wrong!

C-bet on the flop for 60% of pot, then you c-bet turn for 60%/70% of pot, dont give the villain free cards!
And then in the river you can just called him, and go for showdown. you are in the early of tournament, we don't win money in the early of torunament we win in the middle stage and final stage. we just need to save our stack in the early tournament for play more range in the middle and final stage.

So you need to think, what range you give to him? he could made the straigt on the flop with Q9, why not? and he is dominain you. so be carefull on the early stage, we dont wanna lose in the early.
