Figured I'd post a win and ask you guys your opinion on more the tail end of the hand.

Anyway i wanted to ask you guys if you thought I called too large of a bet with sixes even though I was just set mining.

what your action would be if you flopped a set into a hand that promised to be big

what all I did wrong

and do you think i should have reraised on the river to try and win a little more or are you happy with the call? I wasn't really thinking at the time and the third flush card did scare me a little. Anyway river reraising isn't something I do a lot and I am curious if most people feel I should have tried milking this for a bit more, or just been content to call the final extremely small raise (in relation to pot size)

Call the additional $.12 every single time if you thing that you can get $1.20 off him if you flop your set. He had plenty of $, and represented strength, so calling was the right move.

Even if he raises an additional $.30 and you think you can get $3 off him if you hit, call away.

A couple nights ago at $25NL I opened to $1 with a small pair and was three-bet by a tight player who was out of position.
The *first* thing I looked at was his remaining stack. He had $22 left, plenty to make the call worth it.
A bonus was that he wasn't very aggressive, so he was likely to have Q/Q+ which means he'll stack just about every time if he makes his overpair.
So it was an easy call.

Sets are beautiful things.

Alright, yea i don't mind hunting for sets. I usually just get in trouble when I have an over pair and they are likely to have bigger pairs.

Do you think I should raise more on the river though when I am last to act and the other guy is looking timid? That's the main question I'm asking myself with this hand.

well id raise this on every street. Set mining is fine especially in a multi way pot but you gotta be raising here, probably on the flop and certainly reraise and get it in on the turn/river. Turn is your biggest problem, you gotta try to get it in here, 2 hands beat you.
