I'm playing in a NL Holdem $.10/$.25. Six players at the table. Minimum buy in is $10. I'm in the CO. The guy directly to my right raises to .85 from .25. He is the only player at this table that seems to know how to play. We are both sitting between $30 and $35 dollars, so we have both won quite a bit.
I have noticed throughout the night that he raised to .85 several times, but every time he was pushed back at with a reraise or a bet on the flop, he had folded almost every time. So I think he is just trying to steal blinds. I'm sitting on A6s, so I reraise back into him, make it 1.75. Everyone from me to him folds. He reraises me back to 2.00 even. This is a really really strange raise to me. Obviously I'm not folding over .30, so I call.
Flop comes up A 6 5 rainbow. Now I'm sitting on top two pair. I'm reading him for QJ, KQ or mid pp, and he tried to steal with it. I check, he raises to the pot, I shove. He takes the full allotted time, plus all of his time bank, and calls, showing pocket Ks. Turn and river comes up another 5 and a 2. I take it down.
Obviously, my read was wrong, but I had the cards to back up a call if I think he is stealing, then his reraise preflop is almost nothing. The only actual choices I had to make in this hand was whether or not to fold when he raised to .85 preflop, and then how to play my top two pair ATF. Then he acts all pissy and says I'm a fool and horrible and such. I'm sure it's just being mad at losing $30+ in one hand of low blinds, but if I'm betting back into him during preflop, and an Ace comes up on the flop, how does he call a push? I just don't see it? Anyone think I played this poorly in anyway? Think he did?
Sorry I can't post the HH, but full tilt went to maintenance, and my entire 4 hours session isn't saved, sadly.
