PokerStars - $0.50 NL - Holdem - 8 players

MP: 184.74 BB
Hero (MP+1): 104 BB
CO: 106.06 BB
BTN: 103.5 BB
SB: 100 BB
BB: 100 BB
UTG: 177.04 BB (VPIP: 18.39, PFR: 13.64, 3Bet Preflop: 6.74, hands: 496)
UTG+1: 100 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q Q

UTG raises to 3 BB, fold, MP calls 3 BB, Hero raises to 12 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, UTG raises to 29 BB, fold, Hero raises to 104 BB and is all-in

I wonder what you guys think of this play against a villain that is an l/tag reg (3 bet 7%, not enough hands for reliable 4bet %).

My thinking is that most of his hands contain AK in this situation and that he prob will lay them down against a 5 bet I might even get KK to fold, as he is UTG and his range looks strong which makes that my range looks even stronger.

Villain folds and Hero wins 62.5 BB

Generally people call a range including AK from utg vs a 3bet a very large % of the time.I don't think it's a hand that's played as a 4bet call very often by the vast majority of the player pools. When people have AK in their 4bet range here though they probably aren't folding to a 5bet and no ones ever folding KK.This is also 8 handed which makes ranges extremely nutted for these positions.
