First hand at the table. No history.

I c/c flop and turn cause I couldnt think of anything that calls a c/r that Ill be beating. Maybe QJ or JJ.

So I go for value on the river cause I don't want him to check it back here with 66-JJ. Pretty sure all Qs would be betting the river.

So my question is should I c/c, b/call a shove or b/f this river? Does anything other then Qx, QQ-AA and 55 or maybe even like a A3 shove this river?

Why donk the river when all the hands he's repping still beat you, and he has busted flush draws in his range?

Because I didnt want him to check and show me 66-JJ? At least that was what I was thinking in the hand. So you think c/c here?

Also I just realized the title is missleading. I have TPGK till the river where we end up with a FH. Maybe a mod/slanty can change that? Something like "TPGK rivers FH for a tough decision"? I dunno...

Why would he ever 2-barrel 66-JJ? C'mon, your hand reading is better than that.

If you're going to put him on JJ-66, and you're going to donk the river, you need to Zeebo it. But villain rarely has JJ-66 here so it doesn't apply.

I disagree with the c/c plays. Donk it twice or c/r the flop and bet the turn, doing anything else doesn't make sense. How are you ever going to make a profit out of KQo OOP if you think you can't get value from it when you do hit TP ?

My problem with this hand is that its vs an unknown at 5nl. Give me 15-20 hands on the guy and this wouldnt have been posted.

One thing that should have tipped me off was that I did think their bet sizing was actualy pretty good. This should have told me 66-JJ isnt in their dbl barreling range.

CP. What do we do when we donk flop or turn and get raised. Are you willing to play for stacks here vs an unknown?

5NL players are typically timid, and don't v-bet thin hardly ever. You'll encounter some maniacs who just bet/bet/bet no matter what, but by far the unknown at 5NL doesn't v-bet 2nd pair on a board like this.

I'd probably flat the flop, and donk bet/fold the turn. Most opponents at this stake level won't raise you on a draw. Also, they'll fear you have a 3, and will be hard pressed to raise you with hands you beat (QJ, JJ, ect.). Lastly, they will call a bet with all 2nd pair hands, but they aren't likely to bet those hands themselves. This gets value out of the majority of his range that we beat.

As played, when I get to the river, I'm check/calling again probably. Villain has shown a lot of strength, and all the draws missed. I want to keep the pot small & allow villain to bluff his missed draws.
