$5 NLHE 6-max: Hit our flush- should we bet?

BvB, BB is aggressive, especially preflop. Over 175 hands he is 29/20 with a 3! of 11, FFCB of 27%, FTCB of 25%. Fold BB v SB open: 57%

How'd we play? Also... I think the turn bet is OK. Maybe we should be checking this to protect our 1 pair hands though. For V I'm not exactly sure what he's raising on the flop and folding to a 1/3 turn bet with. I can't think of one hand, other than just a random bluff he decided to make.

These types of villains are more NIT than they seem, what happens is that the sample of hands has a lot of bias in the information it throws. Even if you had checked the turn, his defensive range IP is probably quite limited for this board texture.

I don't like the bet here. I think this is one time that we are in advantage to be out of position. We can check the turn and give the BB a chance to hang himself with a bet on the turn. If villain does not bet the turn we can easily bet the river which villain could read as a bluff. Donk leading lets the villain off the hook easy unless he reads that as a bluff and most of the time they wont. Much better here to let them drive the action the turn and take over on the river if you have to.

I think you probably would have won more if you make check / raise on the turn but I think the hand was played well anyway

Well, I don't like raising BvB so small. I always go for the polarization when I am stealing SB versus BB because if the opponent elects to call or 3-bet, we are out of position later, which sucks.
So, I utilize the same sizing I use to open raise from EP, when I am sitting in the SB, I use 3x, at minimum 2.7x.
At lower limits I never use any sizing lower than 3x because players are going to call "to level" much more than they should and we are going end up losing huge ammounts of value.
