Hi guys I recently started shot taking at 2/5 NL and played an interesting hand against a very LAG player.
Hero: $500
Villain: $375
Hero opens for $25 in MP1 holding Q:heart: Q:club: it's folded around to Villain in the SB who calls and another LAG in the BB who calls as well.
The Flop comes: 3:spade: 7:spade: 4:heart: $75 in pot
Both players check. Hero bets $50. SB raises to $150. BB folds. Hero???
SB is labeled as a LAG player who bets his draws aggressively and calls raises with marginal holdings. I have seen him shove a draw in the past however with stacks much shorter than this. However, I have not seen him check raise with a draw before which was a little concerning. Overall his range consists of 33,44,77,73s,74s,A4s. Against this range I am a 25% underdog therefore making calling unprofitable. If I call the extra $100 I will most likely be put to an ALL-IN decision on the turn. I will be getting 2.8 to 1 on a turn shove which still doesn't justify a call given my equity against villain's range.
Your feedback is highly appreciated guys!
