This was a game I played at the casino with $2/$4 blinds and a $400 max buy-in.
I forget the exact stack sizes but it was something like this:
Hero (UTG+1) has $300
Villain (UTG+2) has $1000
Everyone else has $400
I don't have a solid read on the villain because I only sat down 30 minutes ago, but I think that he's fairly loose preflop (like most live players).
Hero is dealt Ac Kd from UTG+1 position
SB posts $2
BB posts $4
UTG calls $4
Hero raises to $16 (I wanted to raise more, but I'd been raising to $16 every hand and I wanted to keep my raise sizes consistent. Plus I was hoping that this small raise size would attract a 3bet squeeze)
Villain calls $16
MP1 calls $16
2 folds
BTN calls $16
2 folds
UTG calls $12
5 players to flop with $80 in pot:
Flop shows As 8h 7s
UTG checks
Hero bets $40
Villain raises to $80 (he actually threw out about $70 at first but was told by the dealer that he needs to put out $80)
3 folds
Hero raises ALL-IN for $280
What do you think about the way I played this hand?
