Live in local casino - The blinds are $2 - $3 not $1 - $2. Since i dont have the option for that....
UTG+2: $800 Limps
MP +1 (Villain): $300 - Limps
CO: $500 Limps
Hero (BTN): $400 Raise to $15
UTG+2: $800 - Calls
MP +1 (Villain): $300 - Calls
CO: $500 - Calls
Pre Flop: (pot: $75 ) Hero has AhJh
Flop: (5 players) 4c 7h Jd
They all check - Hero bets to $30 , UTG +2 folds, MP +1 folds, CO raise to $100
I fold showing the Jh.
My thought process - Villain is a tight reg and he does not really got out of line post flop. I asked him, what did you have? He said you are behind and good fold. I said why did you raise on a rainbow board. He said hes been running so bad lately that he just wants to take pot down, people have done runner runner flush on him.
We were having conversation about his sick bad beats, hes in his 40s chinese man, have seen him around a lot in the casino but i would not say he is a really great player. Just TAG. So it lead me to believe he out have a set there because there was not actual draws on the flop or if he was doing to see where he is at on the flop.
Would a reg ever check raise a rainbow board? With a J being the highest card? Usually i thought it was with Ace high flop.
Thoughts?
