Definitely not folding the turn after we made the flush so we could either flat call the turn or simply shove. Both of these are fine so i don't mind shoving as you did.

If we flat and another diamond falls and if villain bets then we can fold the river or else we are going to go all in on the river anyways. If we are playing such hands then we have to go with it if we improve to a strong hand but also knowing for the fact the risks we are taking and that we might be beat by better draws/hands. So you should not be surprised when villain showed higher flush. It is a risk you decide take when you opt to play such a hand. :)

the shove in the end was totally fine, but i would never ever play these kind of hands, even less out of position! Dont take yourself to a point where you have to push money into the middle knowing that the opponent will take it away because it is not difficult to have a better hand like you have yourself. May look on PS pokerschool for starting hands in micro cashgames in position and out of position
