He has nothing, so it is hard you know, i suppose he might been waiting a club to come to end a flush. you could maybe maximize you win, with small raise on flop, he would call that to, he called every thing up to 5 cards view, so yeah that was a spot for you to max you win value. River bet is inessential, he would fold to any value

You should bet the flop.
If he has an ace or a flush draw you are going to get at least two streets of decent value. If he has neither then you aren't winning much anyway.
If he has a flush draw you shouldn't give him a free card to beat you.
Start getting your money in when you flop a set.
Think big hand = big pot and charge the draws.
Slow playing sets is something beginners do and actually loses value most of the time. Generally you should only slowplay flopped full houses or better. Sets are too easily outdrawn.
