So this hand think I should have x/f the river as btn plays turn pretty face up, initial plan was to x/r flop .... anyhow thoughts welcome.

Leading river is really bad. Has to be X/c or x/f

By betting the river your totally telling me you ignored the fact ur opponent could have a K or 6 And the next thing i'll say if you didn't believe him on the river why didn't you just jam the turn?

the 8 really doesn't improve our hand at all against our villains range unless ofc you think he has a Q which means same as b4 about turn.

.........................................

Anyway i'm not a fan of jamming or bloating a pot where you have 2 pair and drawing to a flush with a paired board. I think you overvalued your hand in this occasion and he didn't represent anything on the flop so you could wipe out Q.

thx for feedback, yeah think I played this one badly in a number of ways.

Honestly don't know what i was thinking to lead the river after flatting the turn given I would expect him to most likely cbet if he had a Q in this one and he basically played his turn faceup to have me behind.

dont think I would have raised the turn but after they 3bet the turn you can only lead the river if you had nothing and think they are full of $%**

As you have showdown value probably x/f against a tighter opponent but maybe x/c as they seem to be aggro

the villain is opening like 50 hands out of 135 and almost everyone was raising preflop, so he is in the BU and the hand reaches him clean, so it was almost sure he was going to open raise with any two,

then it would be very helpful to know some details about villain`s game postflop but checking in a flop like that was very suspicious about him having a 6, then turn brings a higher card and then he bets really small (2/7)

i think here, hero still could have a chance but everything gets clear when villain bets the turn and then reraises,

imho the turn should be a check call (considering the low bet by villain) and then see the river and check and probably fold depending on the bet

Also food for thought, I like these hands from the Button or CO with a raiser/caller ... at least when we play aggressive flush draws and hit we get paid most times.

Looking at the line of play. At river villain definitely does not have a 6. He seems aggressive and would've raised you again if he had the 6. But leading the river is a mistake. River is definitely a check call or fold after all the action on the turn. Leading out on the turn would've been a better option and check call on most rivers in my opinion.
