$2/4 FLHE Full Ring: Whether to Continue Flop Semi-Bluff on the Turn?
Blinds are both $2, 9-player table, cash, live at casino.
Players 3, 5, 7, limp in and I raise from seat 8 with AhJd, seat 9 folds; I have last position on the hand; my raise is called from both blinds and by all remaining players.
Pot is $24.
Flop is 7d8s4h, all players check to me, and I semi-bluff with fixed $2 bet. Blinds call, #3 folds, players 5 and 7 call. Only one player folded to my semi-bluff. Pot is $34.
Turn is 2s, not threatening, all 4 remaining players check to me. I bet for $4. Three players call and one folds. Pot is now $50.
River is Ks. That is an overcard to me, I have no pair, and 3 spades are now on the board. Everyone checks to me. I check as well, since I am last and I have no hand except Ace high.
On showdown, players show Td9h (4 to a straight), AcKc (paired K on River), 8c9s (paired 8 on Flop), and I have junk.
So how did I do? Was I right to semi-bluff the Flop, and make the continuation bet on the Turn? Obviously I lost the hand, but I am more concerned with how it was played than with the result.
Thanks, ahead of time.
