$100 NL HE 6-max: AQo, first hand, 3bet pot

1st hand, so obviously no reads. Should I be 3 betting here out of the blinds with AQo in the first place? What's my plan now on this flop as played?

When he calls twice you can probably put him on a small to mid pair, or suited connectors, since it's the first hand he could be especially bad and have a big ace or something. I think I would cbet this flop and just fold to a raise, unless he called with pocket 5s or a suited connector like 78 or 89 he's going to fold. You probably don't even have to bet very big, a little more than half pot should get the job done I think.

Thing is if he's bad enough to flat/flat with a weak pair, he most likely won't be able to let go of it on this flop. That said he could be a passive player and just call the flop and potentially fold the turn on a bad card, but I'm not sure that happens often enough to make it profitable.

I probably check here and re evaluate on turn. He seems to be fishy and not folding a pair. You are ahead of the rest of his hands
