OK, I am including results here, cause I have played this guy 600+ hands. Along all streets, I was redefining his range. OTT I bet small expecting a raise from him. I was worried about 88 but there was enough other stuff in his range that I felt pretty good about getting it in by the river. He played the turn exactly like I planned, and called my shove OTR, which made me think - shit, he may have the 88.

Why is he calling pre??? Why is he only calling OTF?

Then he shows and I am "WTF".... What can I take from this hand? His stats dont show him to be so dumb, so was it a brain fart, do I need to re think how I look to him? I am pretty tight (too tight a lot) for 6 max so his line makes no sense at all...

( I was considering shoving OTT, but thought hi would call OTR. I was right, and actually had everything happen as I planned it, but what do you all think about shoving his raise OTT?. His raise made me think AK,AQ, 88, 66, KK QQ but I have no idea what he was thinking about my range. It looks like he was not.)

meh, people dont like to fold. Maybe he was getting 3bet a lot on other tables so adjusted badly or something. People are just bad thats probably all there is to it.

When he raises the turn i think i just get it in, The only reason not to get it in there is if you're gonna ch/call the river but i think the results are exactly the same when you shove over the turn here, he either has something he wants to stack, which stacks. Or he doesn't and he folds, just like he would if you called the turn and bet and he had air. nh!

You should also note now, that you shouldn't polarise against him but instead 3bet a completely depolarised range say AT+, TT+, KJ+ type of thing, cause when he calls your 3bet with something like Q8 or 9T, TQ, whatever, more often than not when we both hit TP we're gonna be laughing on our way to the bank when you fire 3 bets and get his stack because he's never gonna fold tp in a 3bet pot.

Good point. Although IDK if he would have played a flop of, say, QT4 2 tone the same.

EDIT, sorry, flop probably exactly the same, but then when the A comes OTT, I think he may be done???

Yeah you might not get 3 in the exact same example but we still probably get half a stack or more, and when the turn is a brick and so is the river we get stacks :)

Why is he calling pre???
He's a fish

Why is he only calling OTF?
Raising flop with his hand would be really really bad. He can get stacks in from IP without raising at any point in the hand, and raising shuts out your bluffs unless you are going to bluff shove over the top sometimes, which not many people do.

calling flop is pretty normal here as he's likely to float pretty wide on this board if he thinks you're 3betting light (which he must due to his call pre)
