My first few trips to the casino I profited about 250 bucks off of 100 dollar buy in.

Last week, I turned 130 into 961.. The next night, turned 100 into 425.

Well since those 2 profitable nights, I've had a stretch of 4 horrible nights.
I'm still playing solid, ( i feel like I am ) but LOOSING LOOSING LOOSING.

I lost 450 or so one night, 300 the next night. . Approximates here
LAst night, I lost 270 at Harrahs New Orleans.

Every time I got a good hand, for example, KK.. (playing 1/2 no limit cash tables) -- -Someone would suck out on me.
I was in the Big blind with KK.. 3 limpers in front of me. I raised 20, 2 -callers.. No obvious draws on the flop, and no aces. Well I push the rest of my chips in (about 60) and was called by a girl who had middle pair on the flop. (10s)
She caught a runner runner straight.

I know this is just another bad beat story, but It seems over and over my luck has been crap.

I've spent waaay to much of my personal money now at the casino..thinking- if I just play solid,,, I'll surely profit...

Last night I saw maybe 8 percent of the flops,,
only won 2 pots
this was over a 4 hour period

I just give up

I'm thinking im not as good as I thought I was at poker.,

You should probably see if you can play this guy heads up-- at least one of you might end up happy.

Seriously, though, anytime I hear someone say they "turned" x amount into y amount I have to suspect: 1. they overplay their bankroll and 2. they probably are not as good a player as they think.

Maybe it's semantics, but I just don't hear good players talking about how they "turned $10 into $100" like it's some magical feat (like turning iron into gold). It's not really how winning players conceptualize of the game.

I've only played a live ring game once....8 percent flops might be what I saw too.....Anyhow....I had Ks.....3x big blind....everyone folded....I said DAMN....I FINALLY get a decent hand.and everyone folds....Dealer says....you have to play once in a while to get a call....could this be your problem...8 percent you're not even seeing your big blind flops.

I couldn't agree more. I read the whole "I turned (...) into" so often, and it's usually by people who suddenly start losing.
I couldn't have put it into words as well as you did, so I'll just leave it at that.

Poker is a game of ups and downs. Sometimes you have a string of ups. Sometimes it's the other way around. You can't judge how well you're doing with a sample of 5 nights of play.

I would take advantage of freerolls... nothing to lose or loose as you put it. I rarely play in the casino, but I know people who do well there. I myself prefer the poker leagues in my area and online. There is alot of good information in this forum... I read more than post, but relax... if it isn't fun, take a break. Goodluck
