Do you guys use the same tactics online that you do when playing live?

It can't be same.
Often I play with friends and know their hand range, so I increase my own range near Ace heigh, 44+ depends on position.

Play position at first

In a tournament I usually play conservative when out of position until I build a good stack , then I play out of position if I have great hole cards (not small pairs).

I'm all over the shop.

It all depends on all the above.
I suit my game to the game itself.

In other words. Very rarely do I get stuck with a particular style.
I think boredom would set in, which would send me mad.

That's the way to do it. Predictability in poker = death.

In general I try to play the opposite of my opponents. If they are tight I'll be more loose and aggressive. Hard to do at a full table in early position when you have so many opponents to act behind. Easier when in late position and all but one or two have folded thus far.

If they are loose I'll tighten up and get aggressive when I do play.

Over all I try to get a read on the other players. Are they calm or upset? Take a beat and might still be steaming over it? Or, did they just win a huge pot?

If they just won a huge pot I will raise them preflop with anything. People who just won a large hand usually don't want to call a raise the very next hand unless they actually have solid cards.

In tournaments I used to make easy chips at the beginning, because the blinds are not high so I often see the flop and than I can win against the dumbass aggressive players. But late in tourney I often have problems with steeling high blinds and winning high pots with regular hands. Last time I often loose even with a high stack, I have realized that it`s a problem to see a period of bad hands preflop and call just with not as good hands as the opponent. Maybe I should try to play thight when the blinds get high. All in all I would say I`m not an aggressive player and often fear to loose.

You can still definitely steal pots/blinds/antes in the later stages. However in those later stages, position is very important when you're trying to steal. And yeah, you should tighten up as the blinds get higher, but still be aggressive.

My style is usually TAG at the start and when I have over average after the first break then I mix up my game as my goal is to try to make the final table but I don't want to reach it as short stake and I like to take risks. It did pay but it's not a recommended play if you play a high volume of games...

I´m always changing. It depends on my bankroll. Low bank = tight. Nice bank = loose

That's interesting. Most people I know vary their play on the tables/other players/type of game. I don't know too many that change their style based on BR.

Always depends on who you play with..

friendly cash game live.. very looooseeeee
cash game live and online.. tight agressive
tournament online.. depends on turbo or normal - micro$ or actual$.. but usually too agressive for tournament..
tournament live.. passive agressive, like a girlfriend on her period..

sorry for the english..

Hi, I play TAG/LAG in cash depending on the opponent (TAG vs fish always). In MTT I play TAG at the beggining and then LAG (always takes account into the opponent)
