Hey,
I have a general question to ask anyone who has ever played in a razz ftop before or a higher buy-in tournament. It's actually $33 for the buy-in for this game which isn't incredibly high, but higher than any i've bought into before.
I usually play the $1.10 buy-in razz tournaments on stars or the razz freerolls on full tilt and usually do quite well:
I tend to get final 100 or so in Razz freerolls but havent managed to cash top 27 as i can sometimes do in omaha and nlhe
I've won the 1.10 razz mtt on stars, but there are a decent amount of un-skilled players in those.

My question is if this tournament is pretty much crammed with decent to great players, because Razz is not that popular a game and right now only 150 or so people are registered for it, I wonder if I ( a decent player- sometimes I'd consider myself exceptional in razz (but I'll need to practise for sure in a few freerolls in the next couple days) ) would have much of an edge on my opponents or if I could expect to have tonnes of difficulty at this level.
Thanks for any feedback.

From my experience, there will be a lot of players that know very little about playing Razz well. It will be frustrating sometimes as you will have players that just don't know how to fold no matter how many of their outs have been burned already. This won't be all that much different from the low buy-in Razz games you've already played.

I am no Razz or Stud Expert, but I am going to say that the Razz Mini FTOPS is going to be very soft, that I'll even play it. I know basic strategy and how to mix things up once I've seen some cards and I am confident I am going to do well.

Okay, thanks, your replies make me somewhat more confident.

Though, I think I'll work hard to get top 27 in a razz freeroll on full tilt in the next couple days, because whenever I play razz for money at full tilt, things seem to go badly
(that or I'm facing tougher competition [but really? tougher competition when I use freeroll money for a Razz 1 dollar ferguson. really? maybe.])

Gl to anyone else that decides to play in it, or any of the other ftops.

I play alot of Razz, including the FT Razz freeroll...even at $33 the Razz Mini FTOPs is going to play just slightly better than the freeroll does.

The largest Razz tourney I played was a $215 WCOOP event in 2007 and that was the best Razz tourney (in terms of players that really knew what they were doing) that I've played in.
