Me n my friends were playin a small live game last night n i was just woundering who won with this type of hand just to make sure in the future.

Player A has: Q8 suited of hearts.
Player B has: J4 suited of hearts.

The flop is: Ah 2h Qc
The turn is: 8s
The river is: 9h

I was saying player A won bcos he had the higher flush with his Q, but some of the friends were saying it's a split pot bcos of the A is on board.

Can some one tell me who wins please just for future reference.

Q flush wins. If they share high card then you compare next lowest card.
