I'll try to be as correct as I can with the knowledge that I have (which is limited):
Torrents keep track of where "data" can be found. The data can be virtually anything - for example a video file like
wsop 2002.
The torrent tracker hosts these torrent files, uploaded by members, and they keep track of who has what part of the data.
A seed = full data file
A leech = partial data file
You would need a torrent client like uTorrent (which is what I use) to be able to download torrents...
It really is a brilliant method for file-sharing online and puts the owner of the website at no risk seeing as how they do not host anything illegal (not that most poker torrents are), just a tracking file of a few byte
For a torrent site the community (uploaders/seeders/leechers) is everything - that's why I am spreading the word - I love the site and want it to improve and help others find their way there.
