Poker in Macau

Anyone know the status of No Limit Hold'em in Macau? Heard there were some Poker Pro machines, but does anyone know if there are regular cash games and/or tournaments available there?

PM flint here at CC (or wait for him to see this). He just moved there to go to school so he should know.

There are several tables in atleast 3 casinos with cash games with the smallest blinds at 10/20 HKD :
-Starworld Galaxy (Asian Poker Tour Room)
-Grand Waldo (The pokerstars Macau room)
-Grand Lisboa

Most of the places also got tournaments, you have to pickup a schedule from the poker room.

So when you coming? I will be here atleast till end of January so hit me up and we'll go for a couple of beers.

I saw this on a poker news site... that Micheal Phelps was invited to play there at a tournament they had.

might go in october. are there tournaments pretty regularly? at least 1 or 2 a day? thanks for the info

At the moment I think only Grand Waldo has tournaments going on a regular basis. More info can be found in PokerStars Macau - Live Poker Room - Win Great Prizes

I was yesterday in the Starworld Galaxy and they told me that they will get a schedule for tournaments maybe next week as the APT has just been finished and taking up a lot of their time. Also it might take a little longer as they probably have to ask permission from the government to run tournaments.

In addition I met the assistant manager for marketing for Wynn (Finnish guy) and he said they will be opening some tables the moment that the government gives them the authorization to do so.
