I play on bodog alot, however you know the motto for these sites (bodog, full tilt especially) is to learn and tone your skills. Well if so how the heck are your skills supposed to be toned if no-one can play for fun. Seriously can you honestly find yourself in a hand where its not too much to call our get beat by someone that goes all in with 24 OS and beats your aces. I love poker but to play for fun i just cant see anything being accomplished on the learning side of the game maybe you guys can help sry for the long thread i just wanted to vent.

Donks will give you bad beats: AA, even if it the greateast hand preflop, gets cracked by trash hands all the time. I can understand your frustration, but remember that if you get all your money in the middle with a donk holding such premium holdings, you'll be a very huge favorite to win in the long run (thus making more money for you).

Also, something I've learned, people might not do these things in a live home game (and at least you can choose who you play with, thus increasing the skill>luck ratio). So, find some people to play with, hone your skills, build your bankroll on the internet and then move up once comfortable. But, alas, donkish plays and luckboxes are there even at the highest stakes and levels (Dimitri Nobles and Jamie Gold come to mind).

It's the nature of the game at some levels. And sometimes even at higher levels. Think about it this way.

There will be some guy who plays for fun at a 100/200 table. Luckily most people can't afford to do that. There will be more that will be able to a 10/20 dolar tables.

At 10/20 cent it's just pitiful what people will call with.

However, if I am any indication, even at that level the game can be beat. You just have to be patient. In the long run you will make money.
