They only MIGHT help if your a first timer at a casino and need a confidence boost.

I have played at casinos since the late 80's and have no interest in learning chip tricks. I never did like the circus either. Go figure

Shoot sometimes I don't even stack them. Especially if I know it will annoy another player. :p

I can do the anti-grafitational pop up move (the one esfandiari does, also known as mussle pass). No way it helps me play better poker, but it does look very cool :D

Like it or not, there are a lot of live players out there who will pass judgement on other players based on how comfortable they are handling chips. Read Mike Caro's book on tells - they're making judgements about how you stack your chips, and that's before you even pick them up.

If people will give your raises even the tiniest bit more respect when you know how to handle your chips, then I think it's worth learning a few tricks. Unless you want to get clever and deliberately have people think you're a n00b by fumbling your chips... but that's a whole different kettle of fish.

I believe that they do benefit my game a little bit.

I believe that I play best when there is something to keep my mind out of the game, and learning chip tricks can usually distract me enough to not get burnt out of the game right away. And if nothing else, I think it shows that I've spent some time at the tables, and that I know what I'm doing.

At the moment, I can do some of the easier ones like the shuffle, twirl, knuckle roll...

Chip Tricks are fun and its great when you recieve all those chips to fool around with, but I don't think it can help your play and how you operate and think when playing poker.

chip tricks shows your opponents that you have been playing a little longer and then they might give you a little more respect...

its like what dutch boyd said during the 2003 Main Event....chip tricks might intimidate your opponent...learning new tricks is fun too

i can do the basic shuffle, the twirl, roll the chips on the table, bounce trick

YES
