Books are a good idea.

But it depends; limit/no-limit, tourney/cash, beginner/intermediate/advanced.

There are lots of threads covering various books; try a search or read the reviews in the review section.

Really enjoyed "What No One Else Is Saying About Online Poker". This book is not going to teach you how to play poker, but will certainly teach you allot about the online environment, along with obstacles we're forced to deal with. Might have some good recommendations. Author obviously not a seasoned writer, but sounds like he is speaking from over 7,000 hours of online play, which he states he has. Interesting to say the least.

I just like your opening line. Books ARE a good idea. Stay in school.:D

Back on topic... like NL said, you need to be more specific on what you want to focus on. I just got 'Zen and the Art of Poker' to help me with bad beats and playing with positive focus.
