I'm interested in buying a some poker books, mostly about hold em', and I'm gonna take some time off to work on my strategy. Any suggestions on books I should buy?

If you are fairly new to the game I would suggest picking up Theory of Poker by David Sklansky or Phil Gordons little green book to get a basic foundation.
For limit I would recommend Small stakes Holdem, by Sklansky and Ed miller. This is the first book I ever read, since I was once a limit player. It was very good and explains a lot of poker concepts in detail.
For no limit cash my favorite books were Professional No Limit Holdem, No Limit Theory and Practice, and Harrington on cash games. There is also a free 6max NL strategy guide online at Free 6 Max NL Strategy Guide that is pretty good.
If tourneys is your thing, Harrington on Holdem volume 1 and 2 is the holy grail of tournament books. There is a few others that I would also recommend, such as Kill Phil, Kill everyone, The tournament poker formula, and Sitngo Stratego by Colin Moshman is a great book for single table sngs.
edit: I don't recommend super system for someone just starting out. It was one of the first books I read and I lost quite a bit of money using his fear equity strategy. It doesn't work very well at microstakes

The books you'll want to read will be largely dependent on the game you want to play. The Harrington books are great for no limit, both the tourney and cash games ones. For limit play, particularly the lower stuff I love Winning Low Limit Holdem by Lee Jones and Small Stakes Holdem: Winning Big With Expert Play by Ed Miller, David Sklansky, and Mason Malmuth. Those two books made my live 2/4 and 4/8 limit at Foxwoods game a winner. For the more psychology angled learning I recommend Caro's Book of tells, and Your Poker Worst Enemy, by Schoonmaker. The latter gives some good advice to help you plug leaks and problems in your play. It makes you think about things in depth that you would probably ignore if not directly confronted. I would recommend steering clear of more narrative heavy books, at least while you're formally forming your play, as they put a bit too much effort into being good stories, often at the expense of being good lessons. Lastly I would just read several articles that can be found everywhere on bankroll management, as this is where most people seem to fall apart.

If you're just looking to read a poker book for entertainment, I recommend Positively Fifth Street by James McManus. Great book about murder, Las Vegas, and poker.

Now for more fun reading a I seem to enjoy any poker books by Mike Caro. Just be aware of older poker books like "Caro's book of poker tells" (alot of people have read that book and will pick up on that you are trying to read them and they will do the opposite of what mike caro's say's in that book) Yea , My live game opponents are really strong players .
If your a sharp person than you will get alot out of David Sklansky.
He has books on all types of poker. For me I have to allways refrence back to them and had to read it over and over lol..
TJ cloutier has some books that I would get just based on the facts that he is a really really skilled player... Hope this helped.
