my wife is interested in learning to play so we've started playing heads up at home. we play for chores... and bad news... she's getting better!

Yes try out some freerolls and you will see online poker differentiate from playing at home with your family. I think online poker is easy to learn but hard to win.

I think it's a big plus if ur gf/bf wants to learn to play I was actually taught by my wife in the beginning of our relationship and has brought us a lot closer
