I realise that both are important, but whats more important? And why?
If you play opponents you can win with poor hands when you have a run of poor cards. Likewise if you can win even more when you have a very good hand if you play your opponent the right way.
Surely if you only play textbook poker then you become predictable and get beaten by better players???....
Hence I think playing the opponent is the more important thing ( albeit with a good foundation of knowledge of when, where and how to play each type of hand in a textbook manner)
Is this accepted generally or are there other points of view?
