Password Beggers In Late Reg.

I usually just either wait a few secs... then type in some random junk like

On Full Tilt since they cannot copy and paste, they will waste their time typing it in...

Since there is only 10 minutes for Late Registration, they can waste some time...

Anyone else have any other suggestions on how to deal with these shallow people?

I thought it's 5 min - till next blind... either way I just ignore them, I don't want to be kicked out of the forum for relseaing the password.

i think the poker sites should not allow observer chat unless registered in the tournament. not sure if they have that otion but it would be nice. otherwise you can turn observer chat off for the 1st 10 ins of the tourney then turn it back on once registration ends

Try to get their Cardschat id and report them to one of us mods. We will need to know exactly what they said.

Most of them don't know what CardsChat is. Belladonna asked them to go to CardsChat for the password, but they didn't seem to understand what we were talking about... :deal:

I did that just this Saturday. typed in az7n83mehqlp. But took it a step further to do a ". [enter]" 4x and make it scroll up

Like Dakota suggested, would be nice to start asking questions and look them up, and I've done it a lot, but once the game starts, it's a nuisance and I need to get a read on the legit donks at my table. (big )

I usually just type "The password is YOUARESCUM"
Or like every one else said just mute them

Usually happens at the freerolls,so there is no money to take.

I just click ignore, simple. No need to get into it with them, call them names and what not. It's just freeroll. You want these people to join the site and continue to make this place the biggest online poker forum on the net.

If I cant get their CC name out of them, then I try my personal favorite, which is "The password is likadashafta" They usually go away, hopefully they are trying it and at the same time comprehending it.

We can't just ignore them we need to find out who these ppl are so they can be banned, if you ignore them you are just part of the problem, but by finding out their Cardschat name you are part of the solution, because these ppl that ask for the password are just as likely to give out a password.

You obviously don't understand the problem.

These freerolls are for cc-members, the money being paid out doesn't come from nowwhere but is paid of deposit bonuses,

rake-back payments, donations of cc-members, advertising pay-offs and other sources the mods know that I don't.

In fact there is no point in sharing it with non-members who don't contribute to this site in any way.

Next time I will try to get more info about the password-beggars by asking them to give me their cc-name

(I will offer to pm the password to them - but I won't do that naturally but pm mods instead)

So mods don't ban me if I do so.....or shouldn't I ???

how have u even had this problem when you just have now 50 posts...and dont say bc there for the buyin tourneys..bc no one begs for those..are you just trying to flip the situation that you were in, and want to rub it in our face now...

We do get some beggars in the buy-ins - especially the low buy-ins at pokerstars.

dont think he must have been talkin particulary about a cardschat freeroll actually ... But it once happened to me as well , was in some private freeroll and I actually couldnt believe that this was goin on in late reg. private tourneys. Its something really interesting how embarrassing can people get to get a chance to win a few bucks...sad
(on the other hand if it was a 500k freeroll ... worth a shot a?)

it seems to happen more on fulttilt than on pokestars,,there a bloody niusance and should be ignored and not encoraged by members,by tpyin in false passwords

I can only hope one day this will be a nuisance for me.
Although I've never begged for a password, I have borrowed to rebuild a bankroll!

Although there may be some unauthorized CC members trying to get in, many are roaming password mooches. Give them a seemingly good password and when they come back saying it didn't work give them a "oops...typo sorry" and send back the same phoney pw with one digit changed.By the time they get done trying twice it's too late. I've done this few times in private tourney's and flack back after they realize what happened is priceless. I used to go the 'UrScUm' or 'sUkWinD' replies but they seem to catch the drift too fast and go bug another table.
