When you sit down at a new table online do you play asap or do you wait for a circuit to get the blinds around to you? It seems to me that if there are 4 or more players before you then pay the blind and play. If three or less then wait for the blind.

What is your opinions on this.

About the only real time that I'll pay the blinds out of position is the cutoff and it is a really juicy table. OTher than that, it's just not worth it really. I can wait the five or six minutes to start playing.

I prefer to wait not just from a blind point of view but to get a feel for the game and the players.

There is no reason to pay the blind early to play earlier.
It doesn't change your image, as most won't notice, and you're paying more $ than you need to to play that first round.

If you don't have the patience to wait for the blinds you don't have the patience to play.

I guess I go against popular belief, but I pay. If I can get into the co or mp2 then I pay. It's not costing that much to play a hand or 2 in lp, if I fold everything to the blinds then I begin creating a tight player image so the next orbit I can do a steal or 2 from lp & I start earning fpp's right away. My 2cents.

I always always always always always wait for my bib blind. There is no point in paying more in blinds than is needed, and waiting helps me get a feel for the other players and how I should play against them
