It's not the dealers responsibility. Responsibility lies in the player knowing if he has the best hand or not.
With help from the other players after all dealers are human also and can make mistakes. I don't care how good you are at your job you will make mistakes.It is 100% the dealers job to award the pot to the winning hand. If 2 hands are turned over the player has no responsibility except to protect his own interest. So if I turn my cards over and say King high flush when I actually have a FH, the dealer will still award me the pot if my opponent has the Ace high flush. My stupidity should never cost the winning hand the pot.
