Neteller card troubles

Anybody else not been able to use their neteller card or check it's balance lately?

Every time I log into Neteller.com and try to check my balance, it just says

Service Currently Unavailable

I did try to use it before I got this message and punched in the wrong pin several times by accident (hungover + bad memory...) which I'm guessing might be the reason for it shutting me out, but I've contacted Neteller several times and still haven't had a single response from them. GRRRRRRRR

I did read an article somewhere that the US Government frooze $55 million on Neteller assests. I hope that doesn't have anything to do with it being as you're Canadian and all.

i dont know how the US can freeze money from a foreign bank.

Worried me a little, wondering if it was a big problem with everything going on these days at Neteller, so I signed in, and got on no problem. Hope this helps.

Effective February 21, 2007, FirePay will no longer allow Canadian consumer payments to online gambling merchants.

This sort of thing wouldn't happen with neteller eh?

"Following upon the complaints dated 16 January 2007, banks in the US began declining to permit transactions involving the Group through accounts maintained at one or more automated clearinghouses in the United States. Additionally, the Group has been advised that the USAO has obtained court-ordered seizure warrants seizing funds pertaining to the Group’s transactions. To the best of the Group’s knowledge, it believes that the amount of funds seized by the USAO or otherwise restricted by third parties does not exceed US$ 55 million. These funds were largely in the process of being transferred from the Group to its US customers or vice versa."

for any of those interested, it seems like my card actually works, but for whatever reason the 'display balance' feature on Neteller's site doesn't.

I withdrew my last $20 on my card last night without any trouble.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to transfer from Neteller to my card, but I'll try soon.
