Lo-Ball 2-7 Triple Draw question

Hi everybody, I'm fairly new here, so thought I'd post something. I've been getting into some lo-ball recently and liking it; only really played limit on pokerstars and in real life, so I haven't yet seen what pot or no-limit can do to the game. Anyway, the question is this: if you were dealt the nuts (7-5-4-3-2) but SUITED(!!!), which of the 5 would you discard to try to get "un-flushed"?

Well, I'm not a 2-7 trip draw expert, but it strikes me that you'd throw away the 2. Your current hand would be the nuts if it wasn't a flush. The next best hands you could have is 76432, 76532, and 76542. The likelihood of anyone have even near such a strong line-up of cards is extremely small. So by throwing away the 2, you'd preserve the initial nut draw by keeping 7543 in tact. Then you're looking at multiple draws to pick up a 2, 6, for which will likely be the best hand anyway (especially since most people that play 2-7 TD have no idea what they are really doing and the winning hand on line is often stuff like 109732 or even 98542). Discarding the 2 gives you so much to look for in your draw that even an 8 coming up is likely to give you the winning hand.

Hmm, got to thinking about my previous response and realized tossing the 2 isn't the right thing because if you do hit the 6 then you go from flush to straight which doesn't help. I would think instead now that tossing the 3 is better. It is still one of the last kickers to play but if the 6 is hit then you have now straight.

Having played this a tiny bit i only have a tiny idea but, as JD stated you definatly do not want a straight to hit so the best call would be either 5-4-or 3.

Im leaning towards the 5 as then the 3 remaining cards are the lowest possible 4-3-2

2s are the most important card in 2-7 triple draw, don't throw the 2.

I watched the pros play Deuce to Seven Lowball Single Draw (No Limit) at the wsop. It is impossible to learn the game watching them, because they hardly ever show down. Even seeing what kind of hands Todd Brunson was mucking wasn't helpful. By the end of the time I watched it, I walked away with the feeling that no one Earth really knows how to play it. (LOL).

As for Triple Draw, I would probably toss the 5.

Ahh thanks, before this post, I had concluded that either the 5 or 3 is the "best" choice; glad to hear it confirmed by someone other than myself and the Tuesday night guys.
