Is it difficult to accumulate pokerstars FPPs playing $25NL? I've never playd on pokerstars before. From what I've been reading, it seems to be shark-infested waters... Just need some bonus to get comfortable. Wondering if their bonus is easy to clear at this limit.

You can get them at that level. You will get a point about 1 in 6-8 hands so I would say about 1 per orbit. The rake needs to be 40c so the pot has to get above $8.

If you are looking for the fastest way to accumulate FPPs then I recommend 50c/$1 limit games. Your risk is not as great and the pots get over $8 about 1 in 3 or 4 hands. I play this once a week with 3 or 4 tables going and can generate over 100 per hour. I play this to keep my silver star level.

The trick is you only have to be dealt cards for the hand to get the points. You fold preflop and you can still get the point if the pot gets big enough. The limit games you get pots larger faster because of multiplayer pots.

Thanks for the info, I've limited experience with limit holdem, but I do play .5/1 occasionally.

That gives me some assurance, at least I'll have $50 to pad my bankroll, in case I run into a table full of sharks.

You should be playing poker to win money, not to accumulate FPPs. It's a mistake to play outside of your bankroll just to accumulate FPPs quicker, just play your normal game and treat them as what they are - a bonus.

Don't worry Rob, I'm just asking this question because I've never played on pokerstars... Just wanted to understand how easy it is to clear the bonus. I'm well-rolled for $25NL.

titans estimate is about right.

If want to play it safer, $10NL will probably give you them at 1 for evey 2 -3 orbits of 9 seater tables. Or 1 FPP foer every $1 buy in to SnGs or tourneys.

I'm reaping FPPs VERY fast on $25max NL on Stars, and I don't even play that much. If I keep playing at this rate, I will likely reach Silver Star next month.
So, in summary, I would say they accumulate rather quickly and easily.

I would say Stars is tougher than FullTilt, and probably tougher than more of the other sites. If you are a decent player, you'll be able to handle it, though.
