Hey guys, I think I am definitely going to try to get some students to coach at ring games over the next couple months. I've been getting slightly burnt out lately and I want to do something new.

I feel confident in coaching Full Ring as well as 6max (Although I probably am a slightly better FR player) from the limits of 25NL through 100NL. I could do 200NL if someone wanted as I'm definitely a winning player there, but I don't think anyone that would be doing this would want that high of limits anyways. My starting rate would be somewhere ~$50/hour I think, but if this seems really high to people I might consider dropping it a little. I'm just kind of curious if anyone here would be interested here? I figured I'd offer here first before I offered at "the other" bigger forum around here as I like the CC community so much better. Anyways, I posted some graphs to show my winrate and such.

Top Graph is my whole Ring game career (including HU as well)
Middle Graph is my FR career
Bottom Graph is my 6max career

Also attached my winnings summary by limit if ur interested. 50NL 6max is an anomally. Not sure what happened, but I was relatively new when playing it. I'm pretty sure I can crush it now.

I would definitely be interested if your hourly rate wasn't 14% of my BR, and that's not to say you're charging an unreasonable rate, but rather that I'm just a miserly poker playing neophyte.

I wont have the funds until i redeposit in january (withdrew my roll for some bills) but I would def be interested. especially if by then you have positive feedback.

would you do a cheaper rate for bulk sessions paid in advance? not sure exactly yet what im thinking but i know i wanna look into coaching after reading everything positive that i have. Especially if i can get it much cheaper than most coaches charge.

Cliff notes: Im interested, but not until January.

I was curious what exactly coaching entails (HA, Sweat Sessions, etc.). Sorry if this quetion seems kind of basic, but as I've never had a coach I have no idea.

For individual coaching sessions, I would sweat you playing for ~45 minutes, making comments as you play. Then after the 45 minutes, we would talk for another 15 minutes about what I thought in general of your play, things you could improve on, going over big hands over again, etc.

I will wholeheartedly assure anyone interested in getting coaching for their cash game that BW is the right choice for 6max or Fullring for 100nl or below. He took my game and definitely improved it, and we had tremendous coaching sessions where small holes were plugged that added to big differences in the profit column. Very outgoing and professional, and highly recommended.

coaching

I would definitely be interested if the 50/hr$ was negotiable. Specifically, I would rather pay 50% of my monthly winnings or something like that.

Assuming my play becomes more profitable, you would essentially be trading coaching for equity for an agreed upon time period.

Like someone pointed out, $50 is also a good portion of my bank roll.

Well, me and BW had a short session before, and I agree with Ice that the mentoring was very useful, so myself would like to try some more sessions. Re the rate, Im not sure what 50/hr 'to begin' means, what were you thinking of going up to??, but me, I would suggest a percentage of winnings for each session. Would that be possible? I'm thinking 2 25 tables, maybe 50, at a time..

FYI I've researched this to death and the going rates for a 50nl coach is anywhere between $60-$80 and for 100nl $90-125 per hour. It's very rare to find someone willing to "split profits and discount their rate" since the demand for their service is high as it is and nobody wants to get into that grey area of "are they reporting their profits + are they going to pay me as they promised" ...

I've seen several staking + coaching offers on 2+2... it happens. Obviously most backers want to see their horses do well, so they provide some coaching at the same time. However, staking is a little bit different of a proposition. Plus usually players take up coaching to get some variance free income. Its so much easier to give advice than it is to go out & apply it. Dealing with the variance, stress, ect. that poker gives you ain't a walk in the park, especially at higher limits that most coaches play at.

I have a question for BW: Have you ever been coached?

Alright guys, I actually had a few send me PMs that were interested and I sent stuff to them. Currently that's all I am taking right now as I'm pretty busy with real life stuff too atm.

On the profit sharing thing. I don't really want to do this for some of the reasons that icemonkey stated above. If I ever get some more free time I'll post again to let people know that I'm available.

Also, to c9 I have been coached by Terp from deucescracked.

Thanks for all the interest guys.
