Has anyone ever used Intra-Account player transfers with someone you trust to help manage your bankroll? I have been doing this lately, and it is working great.

After reviewing my history, I noticed I had more winning days than losing days, but the amount lost on losing days would usually surpass amount won on winning days. It's pretty obvious those big losses were because of tilt and chasing losses.

So I decided to set daily limits that I had NO CHOICE but to stick to. At end of winning days I'd transfer all but one daily limit out of my account to trusted friend. On losing days I'd simply hit my daily limit to bust my account, so can't lose more. Next day I want to play, I'd have trusted friend transfer me another daily limit.

Noticed I seem to have more losing days now because I hit my limit, but obviously loss days are smaller. It is working so far... building the roll!

Anyone else try this?

you may run into withdrawal issues using this method, otherwise it seems like a great idea. imho.

Fortunatley I can restrict myself but if its a method that works for you then stick at it. Only problem I could forsee would be the banker losing his internet and such.

I don't trust anyone that much. But you do and it's apparently deserved.

Since it works for you, keep it up. The only possible problem I foresee is if the site thinks something's up. Or something happens to your pal's account.

But you are going to have to learn to regulate yourself eventually.

Yep, +1.

Other than trust issues, PS has limits on how much you can transfer in a day, week, and month. They are ridiculously low to start, though you can request an increase. IME, the increase is still way too low.

FTP also has some fairly strict policies regarding transfers, and I got the impression it is something they closely scrutinize.

I think you're much better off just developing some discipline and sticking with it.

I've done it on FT for several hundred bucks a day, back and forth with no problems.

Now I primarily play on the Everleaf Poker Network, which has softer tables. I've had no transfer issues with them either so far.

Part of being successful in poker player is knowing yourself. What do they say..."Poker is 90% you against yourself and 10% you against your opponents". I couldn't agree more with that.

I just know I have tendencies to lose ability to self-regulate, especially if playing late with an obvious fish at table (haha.. probably besides me at that point perhaps). Tired, tilted, stuck, and see a fish donking to everyone but myself... I just couldn't leave in the past. Now I have to if I lose my daily limit.

What I do is avoid live tables with Phil Ivey, figure I've saved myself several million so far.
