I'm joking of course, a great story, and have a similar one of my own whilst stranded in new zealand walking into Sky Tower casino dangerously in the red and leaving ecstatically in the black thanks to a miraculous fluke on roulette and the well-wishes of a lady luck-esque female bartender...

What on earth are you talking about!? There is no less skill involved in making a tournament final table than there is winning a cash game table.
There must have been one or two bold ones along the way...

Not less skill, no. But there is more luck involved.
In a cash game, if a fish stacks you by hitting his runner-runner inside-straight, you can rebuy and take it back a few hands later.
In a tournament, you're out.

really awesome story man ... the struggle was real, but good to see how you never gave up. tbh all the mistakes you made then, were lessons well learned for what i can see. Great show of reciliance, any other person would've just gave up not just on poker but on life..

I'm happy for the happy end of the story, because when I read the story I did not feel at all pleasant

but did you ever go home and tell mom she was right ,
I was a piece of shit but I learned from some hard times ?
if you were doing half the crap at home that you did at friends
would mom have thought the same ? did you ever grow up enough
to understand her side ? I could not ever throw one of my kids out
even if they were a piece of shit but this wasn't a happy ending for me
without knowing what happened at home.
ps.... and since it's been 3 weeks and this is still your only post,
I am thinking more like those saying PokerStars advertisement .
