Not to give away my secret.. but...

Every time I go all in I seem to get outdrawn, so today I played the tourney like it was a PL game, and just bet pot when I had a hand preflop. Seemed to work much better for me, but I can't explain it? I mean, wouldn't more players fold to all-in bets? Simply mind boggling!

Not totally because if you think about they are putting in the maximum bet possible. You end up having more players drawing but if you can perfect ur Pl holdem game its definitely an asset as a lot of players have trouble adjusting to Pot limit.

It is strange i have to say. Sometimes all all looks more like a steal the blinds or just messing around because of the amount of idiots on poker websites. Also getting outdrawn is part of the game lol i lost 20 races in a row apart from last night so. With a pot size bet or 2/3 of the bet you are looking for action wanting callers which scares off opponents. My style of play if in a tournament is that in the lower blinds of the game i will bet half the pot if i hit the flop or even if i didnnt if i raised pre-flop (continuation bet) but later on like 4 people left or whatever if i have a hand like J 9 annd the flop comes 3 6 9 or something i will push all in if i dont have a huge chip stack because then your protecting your hand gaining most profit.

On occasion I'll use the pot-limit approach in a NLH game, for a diff reason tho -- sometimes my table image is so tight no one will play if I push all in...if I play pot then I get callers.

One of my tactics, especially late stages of a turbo SNG, is to use the all in as a weapon. What I mean by that, is a lot players see an all in as an attempt to conceal a weak hand and steal chips with it.

SB vs BB works as well as on the button. Players are expecting you to steal in these spots so the all in may make you look weak. Especially if you have been making the standard 3-4x BB raise for the entire game.
