Humor: I guess I'll always be a bonehead

At camp, if we left our bathing suits in the locker room, we had to get up in front of the whole camp after lunch and say:

I am a bonehead. I always was a bonehead. I guess I'll always be a bonehead. Now may I please have my bathing suit back.

I have been playing alot of Omaha Hi-Lo, to all hours of the night. I'm a little tired, cash out, and go walk my dog outside in the cold to revive myself. I come back, jump on some waiting lists, and get in a game.

I'm playing really tight for an hour, catch a few high hands and am about even. Then comes a big hand. In middle position, I have a good high and low hand, so I call a raise. Then there are two reraises behind and two calls, so I fold. The first reraiser pushes, and they wind up with 4 people all in.

The cards fall fast, I think I would have had the low, so I look at the hand history. bodog doesn't have the replayer like Tilt or Stars that shows who won the high and low, you have to look at the cards and figure it out. I would have had the best low, and it seems that I'm looking at a scoop. The board has 2346. The winner had a 56 for a straight, but the other guy had A2. So I'm trying to figure out how 23456 beat 12346 for the low.

I'm thinking that either I don't really understand the rules, or Bodog made a mistake. And if Bodog made a mistake, the guy with A2 really got screwed.

Turns out that it was a regular Omaha table.

I guess I'll always be a bonehead.

Heh. I have done this more than once. I don't know if it is any consolation.

Haha! Hey, it's so easy to miss details, especially when the games are playing so similar. I was playing in a HORSE tourney, and stepped away on a Razz break to get a glass of water. When I came back, I saw A24 in front, and was pretty stoked. A 5 came next, followed by a 6. With a 6 low, I had someone betting pretty aggressively into me with an 8, 6, and a J showing. I'm basically made here, so I was playing it really hard. Finally he folded at the end, and I took the pot, only to realize I'd been playing a stud hand that was essentially a 9 high. Whoops!

As "They" say, "been there, done that". Can't tell you how many times I've done the same thing playing horse..
