Lately I've been playing a lot more online poker - as opposed to live - and I see people talking about rakeback, etc. When people talk about rakeback, does that include deposit bonuses, points bonuses, etc?

I've been playing mostly on bodog and I just made a deposit on Ultimate Bet....if I wanted to get the rakeback, how do I do it?

I know this has been talked about before and is probably in the wrong section - I looked for a similar thread but could not find it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Usually you have to sign up for a poker room through a website that offers rakeback. If you already have an account, I don't think you can get it.

You can always send an e-mail and ask, if you didn;t sign up with an affliate's code than you can usually get it. I did the same with FT and got rakeback.

At UB it doesn't matter if you signed up with an affiliate or not - if you didn't sign up for rakeback when you joined then they will never let you have it.

you gota download the poker software using the rakebacks sites link. then use the rakeback sites bonus code when creating a new account on whatever online poker site.. but you cant add rakeback to an existing poker account.

I'm afraid there's far more rooms that refuse upgrading an existing account to rakeback that rooms that allow it ;)

I had a lot of rooms with regular accounts, I have sent my infos on many affiliates, and only 2 rooms accepted to link my existing account on an affiliate.
And obviously, that was 2 small rooms where I'll probably never play cash :D

^This

I've tried getting rakeback on a couple of existing accounts and have been refused on all of them. Players Only is one of them and the responses they gave me just didn't add up. I applied through TITN and they refused saying I was tagged to another affiliate. I contacted Players Ony and asked them who I was tagged to and they said they didn't have that information available. So, I asked them for the VIP rakeback that they have onsite. They told me there was no such thing. I know this isn't true because my friend went through the same thing with them and was refused through TITN. The next day he received an e-mail from Players Only congratulating him on becoming a Players Only VIP member and that he now had rakeback. His rakeback is right there on the Players Only site. He's not using another affiliate. Even with me providing this information when I asked for rakeback, they still denied that it exists on their site.

Rakeback is where you get a certain percentage of the rake they take given back to you every week or every month, depending on the rakeback affiliate you sign up with. You might sign up with XXXX and get 33% rakeback to your account.

I emailed FT 2 weeks ago and got it. Just email them and ask about Rakebackpros.com. That's their preferred RB site. They sent my info and then I went to rakebackpros and signed up and started getting it that day. Easy.

^^ It can happen. People in this thread seem very negative but it is possible, you just have to ask. Even with a big site like FT.

Yep, I know FT is linked with RakebackPros. Right now, they have sent my info, but I'm still waiting for news since a couple of months.

If you like the games on UB, and want rakeback. Try signing up for Absolute Poker. It has the same player base.

I was able to get Rakeback throught FT after already having an account. Not sure how it works with UB. If they say "No" just take your business elsewhere. If you contact customer support let them know you are not opposed to playing at another site if they don't help you out.

So, it sounds like we should just be emailing support at Full Tilt and ask to get rakeback through their preferred site: Rakebackpros.com. Is that correct?

Not true at all. I was a member of UB for a couple years. Then found a rakeback site (that we can't say here), asked them and then a couple weeks later I had a rakeback account with UB. Still do today!:D

Then one of 2 things must have happened - you did it a while back and they have changed their policy - or they lied to me. I can copy and paste their email response to my request if anyone wants to see it. They stated in no uncertain terms that if you want rakeback there you have to sign up for it when you open your account and that is not an option later. They said you only get the choice when you join.

Yep, I confirm I have been refused rakeback on UB on my existing account, and I tried by different well known affiliates.

Teebone: you can email FT support and explain them why you want rakeback. Then, if you're patient, I think you'll have it.
I'm still waiting and it's been a couple of months since I've asked. I mailed them again and they say that it should be for soon now :)
